Why Read?

"In reading great literature I become a thousand men and yet remain myself. Like the night sky in the Greek poem, I see with a myriad eyes, but it is still I who see. Here, as in worship, in love, in moral action, and in knowing, I transcend myself; and am never more myself than when I do."

-C.S. Lewis, "Experiment in Criticism"

  1. You blog comment(s!) made me smile. A lot. In fact, they pretty much made my morning. And I'm glad you're a meticulous editor, because there are far too many grammar and spelling crimes these days :)

    And I love CS Lewis.

And YES YES YES PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF PETE swing by NYC. We will rent fur coats and pretend to be old ladies and go around swatting children with designer bags all the while not spilling our glasses of wine, which we will be carrying, on the street.

    Have a great day dearie!
